Mindfulness for Men - Meditation + Qi Gong
Mindfulness is a cultivated way of being which, with practice, will enable
you to relax and stay aware in the present moment. This practice builds
resilience to stress and distress. The use of Qi Gong, breathing and concentration
exercises will move you from “knowing about” to “practicing” to “embodying”
mindfulness.
Each session includes: |
- discussion and demonstration of the basics of mindfulness practice
- 40 minutes of Qi Gong (lead by Mark, based on the teachings of Dr. Aung)
- a guided meditation and meditation instruction
- a discussion of mindfulness teachings and how they can be beneficially
applied in your daily life

Traditional and recreational drumming is healing, inspiring and fun. No
experience is necessary. Bring your own drum, or request the use one of

Creative Codependence: Get more out of Life
Codependence is a label that many of us shy away from. It conjures up images
of helpless, needy souls begging, pleading to be liked. But what if that
wasn’t the whole picture? What if being independent, strong and in control
were also were also symptoms of codependence? What if codependence was
simply a creative way we learned as children to get our needs met? And
what if that same creativity could be used to meet those needs more effectively
today?

Couples / Friends / Partner Foot Reflexology Workshop
Learn to give a reflexology treatment to another person. You will receive a booklet showing areas of the feet that are worked to provide healing and/or relaxation. Each person will receive and provide a full treatment during the workshop. You will also learn cautions to watch for during treatments.

In this experiential workshop you will:
- Develop an understanding of the current balance in your work and personal
life
- Discuss the nature of personal values and how your own values inform your
career and life choices
- Learn about the Kerwin Values Survey and discover how it can be used to help you answer questions about your own work/life balance
- Formulate a plan for creating more balance in your life.

The Feminine Face of God NEW
In this 3 session workshop you will be using collage, mandala and clay
to explore the feminine aspects of a masculine God. You will uncover and
discover your own feminine understanding and worship of god, your relationship
to the cyclic feminine rhythm built into the cosmos, and your body, mind,
spirit inter-relationship.
- Collage workshop: will bring all the disparate parts of our female soul to bear upon a
patriarchal faith and acknowledge those needs by building them into a collage
composition. The collage will define our feminine understanding and
worship of God.
- Mandala workshop: will tune us into the metaphor of the circle and the cyclic feminine rhythm built into the cosmos (the universe viewed as an orderly whole).
- Clay workshop: will tune our bodies and minds into the relationship between water and clay.
We will explore the significance of these images in the feminine sacred
experience.

All will leave empowered with a collage of hope, a mandala of feminine
sacred strength and a simple clay image or vessel signifying the feminine
worship experience. No artistic skill required.
